Dr. Ben Cuddy
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Ben’s passion is helping people feel better, move better and perform better in life and in sport. Ben has long been interested and has invested himself in understanding how the human body functions both to create good movement and the highest levels of performance as well as how dysfunctions and pain occur and how to best address them to return to optimal function. Ben is a lifelong athlete himself, competing in multiple sports, but primarily ice hockey, while growing up and into college and understands what its like to work to train for sport as well as work through injury.
Ben completed undergraduate school at Penn State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and is a Doctor of Physical Therapy through the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Charlestown, MA. While in undergraduate school, in addition to playing ice hockey, Ben followed his passion and began his career as a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Woburn, MA, where he helped athletes and individuals of all ages reach their health, fitness and performance goals. He loved his job there, but wanted to further understand movement and be able to accomplish more with his clients, who often had their own ongoing injuries, and physical therapy school was the next logical step.
As a member of the Fitzgerald Physical Therapy team, Ben helps his clients reach their goals through a sound understanding of optimal movement and exercise as well as a continually broadening repertoire of manual therapy skills including joint and soft tissue mobilization techniques. Ben avidly works to broaden his knowledge base and practical skill set through self-study and has completed continuing education courses through the American Physical Therapy Association, Functional Movement Systems and the Postural Restoration Institute.
