Dr. John Thompson
John was born and raised in Seekonk, Ma, where he played sports from a young age. During high school, athletic injuries and successful recovery made John passionate about physical therapy, injury prevention, and maximizing his athletic performance. John attended Regis College where he played basketball.
Since graduating from Regis, John has continually trained to improve his own athletic performance while also working as a personal trainer. During that time he constantly looked for ways to improve as both a trainer and physical therapist; in the process becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC), and ultimately receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in January of 2019.
John's goal is to continue to merge his fitness background with physical therapy principles to help patients reach their desired goals in all aspects of life while staying injury free. Besides training himself and others, John spends his free time hiking in New Hampshire, slacklining, listening to fitness podcasts and searching out the best pints of ice cream around.
