Dr. Sarah Marchionne
Sarah graduated from Northeastern University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2019. Prior to completing her Doctoral Degree, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University, which initiated her strong belief in the connected nature of the mind and body.
Sarah has gained diverse inpatient and outpatient experience during her clinical rotations, treating a wide range of patient populations including orthopedics, sports injury, post-surgical, geriatric, cardiovascular and psychiatric. Sarah brings additional experience to the clinic from her exposure to various treatment models while in San Diego. There, she embraced the benefits of treating patients with a holistic approach, leveraging her knowledge of localized anatomy within the context of the full body structure, function and movement. Most recently, Sarah completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Boston Yoga School. This allows her to offer the benefits of multidimensional movement therapy and the physiological effects of yoga on the nervous system to support her treatments. She is dedicated to continuing education and builds on previous experience to offer her patients effective and integrated treatment methods. Her interest in helping patients recover from chronic and acute injuries focuses on addressing the underlying cause, tailoring treatments to incorporate individual lifestyles and preventing future impairments.
Outside of the clinic, Sarah stays active through regular yoga practice, as well as skiing, hiking, running, waterskiing, wakeboarding and swimming. Sarah has a lifelong passion for horses and has competed at national horse shows for the majority of her life. She loves to seek out new experiences through travel, food and engaging in her community.
