Dr. Gina
Gugliotta

PT, DPT
Melrose Clinic
Woburn Clinic

Gina completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at The Ohio State University. In graduate school, she obtained the program's research specialization for working in a biomechanics lab that explored mechanical and strength variables in adolescent athletes following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Upon graduating, she started her career as an orthopedic PT resident at Cincinnati Children's Hospital where she gained direct mentorship to hone her craft in the rehabilitation of youth athletes and pediatric-specific orthopedic conditions.

While Gina's specialty training is in pediatric sports medicine, she greatly enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, ages, and abilities. Prior to joining Fitzgerald Physical Therapy, she worked for Ohio State Sports Medicine. During her time in this position, she became a board-certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy and was afforded opportunities to deliver presentations on topics ranging from physical literacy to swimmer injury prevention. Her mission is to prioritize evidence-based practice and patient-centered care to create an environment conducive to optimal healing and safe return to sport/activity for patients of all ages and abilities.

Her particular clinical interests include ACL rehabilitation, physical literacy, pain neuroscience education, and endurance medicine. Outside of the clinic, Gina enjoys traveling, scuba diving, walking her dog, and trying new restaurants (recommendations are always appreciated!). She greatly looks forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals!
