Corrective/Therapeutic Exercise

What is Corrective/Therapeutic exercise?

Therapeutic Exercise is a type of corrective treatment that is used in physical therapy to rehabilitate a variety of pathologies by strengthening muscles, increasing mobility, improving motor control, and increasing endurance.

Research suggests that therapeutic exercise is an essential part to all rehabilitation protocols. During your time at PT a wide variety of exercises ranging from mobility exercises to strength training will be used to improve range of motion and muscle function.

Many of our therapists are not only trained in prescribing therapeutic exercises but also have advanced strength training certifications to optimize performance.

At Fitzgerald PT we pride ourselves on using creative and challenging exercises to motivate our patients to perform at their best.
