Dr. Jill
McNabb

PT, DPT
Melrose Clinic Woburn Clinic

Jill is a native of Lexington, Massachusetts. She earned both her Bachelor of Excercise Science degree as well as her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Northeastern University. Post degrees, Jill completed a two year  fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy at the Institute of Manual Therapy (IOMT) with training in advanced extremity and spinal diagnosis and manual techniques. Jill also holds certifications in strength and conditioning (CSCS) as well as dry needling. She is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the Kaltenborn-Evjenth Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Association.

After graduation, Jill began her career with dual PT occupations at Bay State Physical Therapy, an outpatient orthopedic clinic, as well as inpatient neuro rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. At Bay State Physical Therapy, Jill was the clinic manager for 8 years and gained experience in treating patients with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, ranging from post operative care to complex spine management. At Spaulding, she treated patients with complex neurological conditions, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and post-stroke conditions. After 10 years in these locations, Jill decided to switch gears to join the Fitz Fam and place a higher emphasis on the aspects of PT she loved the most – individualized patient care and the ability to mentor new physical therapists.

At Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates, Jill splits her time between developing and instructing the in-house mentorship program and treating patients. Mentorship of new clinicians is one of her passions as she loves to facilitate an improved understanding of clinical reasoning and diagnosis, leading to improvements in the quality of patient care, patient satisfaction and overall rehabilitation outcomes.

Jill takes a hands-on approach to patient care, with emphasis on manual therapy, functional exercise, ergonomic assessment and patient education in order to maximally empower her patients to achieve all of their individual rehabilitation goals.

In her free time, Jill enjoys running, spending time with friends and family and trying new restaurants
