What to Expect During Your Cupping Session

Your session will begin with a conversation with your Doctor of Physical Therapy about your pain and how cupping may benefit you. Any concerns impacting the use of cupping will be addressed prior to treatment.

1. Cups are placed on specific areas of the body.
2. Gentle suction is applied to create a lifting effect on the tissues.
3. The cups may remain stationary or be moved across the skin, depending on the
treatment goals.
4. The therapist may combine cupping with stretching or manual therapy techniques

Add cupping to your routine to maximize recovery, manage pain or calm muscle tightness before it gets out of hand!
