Hi everyone –
As we enter this season of gratitude, I’m reminded once again how fortunate I am — both personally and professionally. As a family-owned business, Fitzgerald Physical Therapy has always been rooted in trust, compassion, and connection. Every single day, families choose us to care for the people they love most, and that is something I never take for granted. Your confidence in us is a gift, and it fuels everything we do.

This year, my gratitude feels especially deep. When my son Hunter tore his ACL over the summer, the outpouring of support from the health, medical, and physical therapy community was extraordinary. From the first evaluation to surgery to his ongoing rehab, so many talented professionals stepped in without hesitation. Because of them, Hunter has made incredible progress — and I am endlessly thankful for their expertise, care, and kindness. They helped my son get back on his feet (literally!), and for that, I am truly grateful.
I am also thankful for my loving family, whose support makes all things possible. They cheered me on through every early morning, long run, and challenging moment as I trained for — and completed — the Chicago Marathon again this year. Their encouragement and belief in me are gifts I cherish every day. I’m deeply grateful as well for my own health; without it, none of us can show up for the people and responsibilities we care about most. I would also like to thank all the donors who gave thousands of dollars to support the cause I was running for near to my heart – The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
I am profoundly appreciative of the opportunity to serve the communities we live and work in. Helping people move better, feel better, and live better is a privilege I never take lightly. Being able to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our neighbors is something that inspires me daily.

And lastly, I cannot say enough about the incredibly talented physical therapists and staff who make Fitzgerald PT what it is today. Their loyalty, dedication, and willingness to embrace our culture have shaped our clinics in remarkable ways. They show up with passion, heart, and unwavering commitment to our patients — and they are the reason Fitzgerald PT continues to grow, evolve, and thrive.

This Thanksgiving, my heart is full. Thank you to everyone — patients, families, staff, partners, and friends — who continue to be part of our story. I am grateful for each of you. And thank you for being such an important part of our #FitzFam!
Warmly,
Dr. Holly Fitzgerald, Owner and President of Fitzgerald PT
